Thanks to everyone who participated in our big Paintball Battle Royale with the South Jeffco Crush! It was a great day, and a great time!
These events are a big part of bringing the boys together as a true "team", pulling for one another, working with one another, and helping
each other out. Great lessons learned!

Positions which kids play are always tricky. While a boy may want to play one position (Wide Receiver, for example), his individual skill set may not allow that to happen, whether individually or when compared
to other players on the team. I recently came across a great quote by Hall of Fame coach, Don Shula which describes a coach's perspective when deciding what positions boys will be playing:
"I think what coaching is all about, is taking players and analyzing their ability, then putting them in a position where they can excel within the framework of the team winning." - Don Shula Parents, re-read that a few times. There are 3 components to that statement which we follow: 1) "analyzing their ability", then 2) "putting them in a position where they can excel", but, keep in mind, those decisions will be made 3) "within the framework of the team winning." That's pretty powerful stuff. One last thing, and you've heard it from me for years now: the start of training camp in August is not the time to decide to change positions. If your child wants to make a positional change, it's incumbent on you and on him to take steps in the off-season to learn that position. This can be accomplished through camps, clinics, etc., and if you need suggestions on any of these, just send me an email!
Best wishes,
